ABSTRACT

With the upcoming of the new scientific, technological and industrial revolution, the combination of medicine and artificial intelligence(AI), big data, and the Internet is becoming closer and closer. Adapting to the trend of knowledge developing from differentiation to integration, new medical science comes up to meet the realistic need of "Healthy China" and the social demand for cross-integration medical talents. The essence of the transformation of talent training model under new medical background is based on the inheritance and innovation of training concept, training path and training Objective s. Medical postgraduate education which cultivates high-quality medical talents ought to follow the trend. Therefore, we should rethink the talent training and implementation path of medical postgraduate students from the aspects of innovating training concept, optimizing training mode, and renewing evaluation standards so as to provide beneficial references for training outstanding innovative talents with international vision, innovative spirit and cross-integration thinking in accordance with the development of medical science in new era.

ABSTRACT

To evaluate the promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis effects of Danshen-Honghua(DH) herb pair with different preparations (alcohol, 50% alcohol and water) on blood rheology and coagulation functions in acute blood stasis rats, and optimize the best preparation method of DH based on principal component analysis(PCA), hierarchical cluster heatmap analysis and multi-attribute comprehensive index methods. Ice water bath and subcutaneous injection of adrenaline were both used to establish the acute blood stasis rat model. Then the blood stasis rats were administrated intragastrically with DH (alcohol, 50% alcohol and water) extracts. The whole blood viscosity(WBV), plasma viscosity(PV), erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) and haematocrit(HCT) were tested to observe the effects of DH herb pair with different preparations and doses on hemorheology of blood stasis rats; the activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT), thrombin time(TT), prothrombin time(PT), and plasma fibrinogen(FIB) were tested to observe the effects of DH herb pair with different preparations on blood coagulation function and platelet aggregation of blood stasis rats. Then PCA, hierarchical cluster heatmap analysis and multi-attribute comprehensive index methods were all used to comprehensively evaluate the total promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis effects of DH herb pair with different preparations. The hemorheological indexes and coagulation parameters of model group had significant differences with normal blank group. As compared with the model group, the DH herb pair with different preparations at low, middle and high doses could improve the blood hemorheology indexes and coagulation parameters in acute blood stasis rats with dose-effect relation. Based on the PCA, hierarchical cluster heatmap analysis and multi-attribute comprehensive index methods, the high dose group of 50% alcohol extract had the best effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. Under the same dose but different preparations, 50% alcohol DH could obviously improve the hemorheology and blood coagulation function in acute blood stasis rats. These results suggested that DH herb pair with different preparations could obviously ameliorate the abnormality of hemorheology and blood coagulation function in acute blood stasis rats, and the optimized preparation of DH herb pair on promoting blood effects was 50% alcohol extract, providing scientific basis for more effective application of the DH herb pair in modern clinic medicine.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>BACKGROUND</b>Mental disorders are strongly associated with disabilities. National survey on disability could provide a reliable basis for policymaking in care and rehabilitation of disabled persons. This study aimed to describe the disability prevalence rates attributed to mental disorders, their distribution by sociodemographic factors, and utilizations of service.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>This study is a secondary data analysis of the Second National Sample Survey on Disability in 2006. The disability and severity were assessed using the World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0. Mental disorders were diagnosed according to the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems 10th Revision Classification of Mental and Behavioral Disorders. Using descriptive and analytic epidemiological methods, prevalence rates of disability attributed to mental disorders and service use were calculated.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Data of 2,526,145 respondents were analyzed. The disability prevalence rate attributed to mental disorders in China was 6.3‰, accounting for 9.9% of all disabled people. Regarding disability prevalence attributed to mental disorders, it showed that gender, residential area, marital status, education level, and economic area were related to the prevalence distributions. The proportions of mild disability were highest in the disabled people with onset age of 18-64 years, while the proportion of extremely severe disability was highest in the disabled people with onset age of 65 years and above. Only 58.6% of disabled people attributed to mental disorders used some of the services.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>There are statistical differences of disability prevalence attributed to mental disorders by people and region in China. Service use in disabled people with mental disorders is insufficient.</p>

ABSTRACT

Objective:This study aimed to present the time trend of suicide rate in people aged 5 years and over in China from 2002 to 2015,and to describe the rural and urban distribution, and population characteristics of suicide rate in recent 13 years. Methods:The data of suicide rate were based on the China Health Statistics Yearbook published by the National Health and Family Planning Commission (formerly as the Ministry of Health) of the Peoples Republic of China.Poisson regression models were used to test the time trend of the general suicide rate, and region-,gender-and age-specific suicide rates. Results:Since 2002,the suicide rates in urban population, rural population, male and female have decreased significantly.Urban population had higher decreasing trend than rural population, and female had higher decreasing trend than male.Suicide rates in women of reproductive age (15 -49 years) both in rural and urban areas had significantly decreasing trends, and were lower than male with same ages in recent years. There was no statistical difference of the decreasing trend in rural population aged 85 years and over,or young male population in rural area. The annual average suicide rate from 2012 to 2015 was 6.75/100 000.Rural population, male and the older persons had higher suicide rate. Conclusion:The overall suicide rate decreased over the period of 2001-2015.However,it is still important to carry out suicide prevention program, especially in rural area, and in older persons and young male.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To examine serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and to explore the relationship between vitamin D level and ADHD.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Ninety-seven children with ADHD who were diagnosed according to DSM-V were selected as the ADHD group, including 46 cases of ADHD-I, 10 cases of ADHD-HI, and 41 cases of ADHD-C. Ninety-seven healthy children served as the control group. Serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D were measured using electrochemiluminescence immunoassay.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Mean serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in the ADHD group (17±7 ng/mL) were significantly lower than in the control group (23±8 ng/mL; P<0.01). The serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in the three subtypes groups of ADHD (ADHD-I, ADHD-HI, and ADHD-C) were all lower than in the control group (P<0.05). The rates of vitamin D insufficiency, deficiency or normal in the ADHD group were different from the control group (P<0.01). The distributions of vitamin D levels in the three subtypes groups of ADHD were all different from the control group (P<0.05).</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>Serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in children with ADHD are lower than in healthy children, suggesting vitamin D level might be related to ADHD.</p>
